Today’s the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, with the 2021 theme “Youth Standing Up Against Racism”.
Young people came together in their millions around the world for the 2020 Black Lives Matter marches, and also mobilised online, calling on each other to stand up for equal rights.
Today highlights the importance of a global culture of fairness, dignity, equality and self-determination.
