OneMob Radio runs a number of Cultural Appropriate and Flexible Training Workshops for Communities in NSW.

These Workshops include:

Beginner Radio Hosting (Minimum 2 Days = 5hr each Day or 10 Hours)
This training will look into Radio, our goals, commitments, and standards in terms of our Station. Also look to work on structuring talk breaks, creating content, working the equipment and show development.

If you’re interested in being an announcer on OneMob Radio you must complete this training.

General Content Creation Workshop (Minimum 2 Days = 5hr each Day or 10 Hours)
This Content Creation Workshop is about exploring content and what we can do as community to create content for OneMob Radio.

This Training will look at what we at OneMob Radio currently do and how we can work with those participants to build content for the Station. The Training will focus on how to use the recording equipment, interviewing techniques, editing the recordings and sending into the Team.

If you’re interested in being a roaming presenter or content creator on OneMob Radio you must complete this training.

Presenting, Public Speaking and Confidence Building Workshops (Minimum 1 Day = 5hr Hours)
This workshop will be led by people within this community that are regularly involved in presenting and public speaking positions and how they overcome their nervousness, learning to break the topic down, preparation and other handy tips that will help.

Why is this important?
In 2010, The Local Aboriginal Community established a Radio Program called “Speaking Hour Lingo” that piloted 10 young people. This project worked on all of the above and after similar training and practice those individuals had increased capacity in relation to Public Speaking, Confidence and Identity.

Lachlan Skinner was 15 years old when he was introduced to Speaking Hour Lingo. Lacking confidence and unable to speak in front of a classroom. At the age of 17, Lachlan was hosting the Youth Stage at the Saltwater Freshwater Festival, and many other community events.

More recently Lachlan has had the opportunity to host the National Reconciliation Action Plan Launch and presented to the CEO and Executive Staff of Woolworths. Also Hosting many festivals, large events and a radio program on 93.7 Koori Radio in Sydney.

OneMob Radio has the capacity to do Outside Broadcasts from your event, or location. This Package will include all costs associated to operating the Broadcast and advertisement of the special occasion.

OneMob Radio will require power to operate and chairs on site for the booking.

OneMob Radio have 6 Sponsorship/Advertisement Packages that can promote your Business or Service to our Listeners.

As you may be aware, we are based in Coffs Harbour but do Broadcast to the Nation via an internet stream on our Website which is mobile friendly.

Our Packages feature Peak and Off-Peak Slots.

Peak Hours start during our Breakfast Show (7am-9am) and finish at 5pm. These times are when we would have a high level of traffic to our Radio Station.

Other times our Station experience higher levels of listenership is during our program of shows. For more information on the shows, please head over to our “Shows” Tab.

Off-Peak Hours are other times not listed above. These times are when we would have a standard number of people listening to our Radio Station.
