Today and every day we celebrate the strength and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, to give them confidence and make them feel special, seen and included.
The date August 4th was historically used to communally celebrate the birthdays of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who did not know their birthdays as they were taken from their families – the Stolen Generations.
